Kemak Foundation for Enhancing Sustainable Livelihood

Our newest partner, Kemak Foundation for Enhancing Sustainable Livelihood (Kemak Foundation), led by Dr. Makuachukwu G. Ojide, is a non-profit organization (NGO) that adopts and adapts innovative solutions developed by other organizations to meet Nigeria’s pressing challenges of sustainable livelihoods as a vehicle for addressing poverty, hunger, good health, quality education, inequality within gender and social classes, decent work, climate change and natural resource degradation.

Our first project was a webinar on January 16, 2023, as a contribution to their "Young Graduates Summit on Domestic Violence." We were grateful to have Elizabeth Mikotowicz, of Le Galeriste and Namusaazi Christine (Tinah) of She Unit Uganda, share their stories with the nearly 100 new university graduates in Nigeria.

A special thank you also to Ugochukwu Amadi, Editor, Champion Newspapers Limited and Amarachukwu EgwuAgha, Representative, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists for sharing their insight and willingness to show their support.

In all, we had four countries represented--USA, Nigeria, Uganda and Cameroon! So glad to hear all your voices! Remember, you matter, and we can't do this alone!
