Partnering with the Native American Community

After befriending a member of the Lenni Lenape Tribe of New Jersey and learning more about the Native American people and their struggles, WAGE added the plight of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls to its mission.

Across the United States, thousands of native women and girls go missing each year, and most cases remain unsolved. An indigenous woman is 10 times more likely to be murdered or go missing than other persons. Many of these women and girls become victims of human trafficking.

We are shedding light on this epidemic that has been shrouded by politics, racism and ignorance by partnering with this community as well as the Native American International Caucus in events, messaging and support.
