She-Unit Uganda

 

She-Unit Uganda was started by a courageous and compassionate young woman named Christine Namusaazi who is giving women in her community a fighting chance. She has founded a cosmetology training program that enables women in impoverished areas to gain confidence and live financially independent.

2024 World Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28

WAGE is supporting what they do and hopes to begin a mentoring program for those women attending her training. We are also working with them on developing a business plan to sell a product and enhance their financial and home stability.

Our first remote mentoring session in a Kampala classroom!

Our remote celebration of International Women’s Day when we embraced climate change awareness by planting a tree and discussing how together we could institute change.

Twelve of the best performing students received geometry sets to help them excel. Other students received books!

In December 2022, WAGE funded a liquid soap making business in Uganda for women trying to get out of the slums. It was led by She-Unit Uganda.
